Jewish Healing Center Mission Statement
The WJCS Jewish Healing Center is Westchester’s first Jewish healing center. Our vision is to promote the spiritual, intellectual, physical and mental health of Westchester’s Jewish community by infusing a collection of programs and services with the intrinsic power of Judaism’s history and tradition.
Whether faced with a particular need or concern, or engaged in a journey to find Jewish connections and spiritual fulfillment, the WJCS Jewish Healing Center provides the community with opportunities that foster health and healing for the mind, body and spirit within a Jewish context.
Most Jewish spiritual support groups are co-facilitated by a rabbi and a social worker or other skilled professional. The facilitators may utilize Jewish music, liturgy, meditation, stories and study, in addition to traditional psychotherapeutic methods to aid the process of emotional and spiritual healing.

Ritual-Craft: Sanctifying the Thresholds of Our Lives - $54
Mondays, November 2 and November 30 (plus 2 privately-arranged sessions with either Robin Friedman or Rabbi Pamela Wax)
7:00-9:00 PM at Temple Israel Center, 280 Old Mamaroneck Road, White Plains
Our rituals of daily life ground us and help us feel safe. For life's major thresholds, however, we too often let others "do ritual" for us, or we forgo ritual altogether. In this workshop, we will learn about the art and craft of rituals, discern what needs sanctifying in our own lives and create a meaningful ritual or ceremony for that occasion: whether it be a special anniversary or birthday, a healing ritual for loss or illness, or a way to mark or honor a significant transition.
