Hebrew High School
9th Grade Hebrew High School
Comparative Religion Course
With Rabbi Mark and Visiting Clergy
A College-Level Course for Ninth Graders!
This is the course your kids asked me to teach!
Is religion the cause of the world's problems, or perhaps the solution? What do Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus - and Jews - really believe. What's the difference between "religion" and "spirituality"? Can spiritual seekers learn from each other, or are we destined to fight with each other forever?
In this remarkable course, High School students will journey with Rabbi Mark to explore the great spiritual traditions of the world. We'll learn about the origins of - and possible solutions to - some of the world's most long-standing disagreements, and come away perhaps with a new understanding of the role Judaism has to play in this critical time in world history.
Whether or not you took Rabbi Mark's "Jew Tube" last year, you're eligible for Hebrew High School. Classes will be on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 until 7:30 pm. The dates for 2009-2010 are October 21, November 4, November 18, December 9, January 20, February 3, March 3, and March 17.
With Rabbi Mark and special guest teachers!
